The route
The route from Marina Real
We cast off at Marina Real and head out through the harbour mouth with the port to port side. As soon as there is wind the skipper hoists the sails and cuts the engine: from then on all you hear is water against the hull.
We sail north along Malva-rosa and Patacona beaches, close enough to pick out the beach bars and far enough to take in the whole city at once: the sand, the port cranes and the marina skyline.
Halfway through, the skipper finds sheltered water and we stop for a swim straight off the aft platform. Then we head back with the sun low, which is when the photographs come out best.
Wind and conditions
In spring and summer the levante blows in during the afternoon at 8 to 14 knots: steady wind, easy swell and calm sailing even if you have never set foot on a yacht.

FAQ
What you ask us before coming aboard
Is the price per person?
No. The €360 is for the whole boat, up to 11 people. Four of you or eleven, it costs the same.
Is there a minimum group size?
No minimum. Two of you or the full eleven, either works.
Do we need sailing experience?
None at all. The skipper handles the boat from start to finish; if you fancy it, he will hand you the wheel and show you the basics.
Can we eat and drink on board?
Yes, bring what you like — there is a cool box on board. And if you would rather find it ready — cold drinks, something to nibble, a bottle for the toast — ask us when you book.
Can we swim?
Yes, there is always a swim. The skipper stops and anchors so you can jump in off the aft platform. The only thing that changes the plan is the state of the sea that day, and that is the skipper's call. Bring swimwear and a towel.
How long is it exactly?
Two hours from casting off to back on the mooring. Come to the port about 15 minutes early so boarding is unhurried.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If the skipper cancels because of the weather, we offer you a new date or a full refund.
Can children come?
The minimum age is 18, and minors may come aboard as long as a responsible adult is with them.
